Your total cost comes down to one decision: how much of the EPD Global GreenTag develops for you. The GGTI-developed pathway bundles the LCA consultant, audit and EPD generation into a banded fee. The three self-developed pathways cover the pieces you can bring yourself: a finished LCA to verify and publish, just the LCA, or just the listing.

Full EPD Development

Global GreenTag provides end-to-end EPD development services, guiding manufacturers through every stage of the process—from data collection and data and factory audits to LCA consultant engagement, independent internal and external verification, and final publication. Completed EPDs are published on the Global GreenTag EPD Website, with ECO Platform publication available for eligible EPDs that meet the applicable requirements.

Pathway B

Independent EPD Verification and Publication

This pathway streamlines the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) process for manufacturers and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) consultants. Applicants can submit their completed LCA, EPD, and applicable Product Category Rules (PCR) for independent verification by a verifier appointed by Global GreenTag International (GGTI). Following successful verification, GGTI registers and publishes the ILCD+EPD package and EPD PDF through the portal, making verified EPDs accessible via the GreenTag EPD website and ECO Portal to support greater international visibility.

Pathway C

LCA Development

GGTI organises the LCA consultant, helps identify and audit the relevant data, and delivers a peer-reviewed LCA report that the client owns. No EPD is generated or published under this pathway; however, the LCA can later be used to develop an EPD through Pathway B.

Pathway D

Hosting Existing EPDs

For manufacturers that already own EPDs issued through other recognised program operators whose General Program Instructions and verification standards align with Global GreenTag's, or with which mutual recognition exists, eligible declarations can now be hosted on the new Global GreenTag EPD website. This provides an additional platform to increase their visibility and accessibility to Australian and global markets, with ECO Platform publication where applicable. This pathway offers a faster and more cost-effective way to distribute existing EPDs.

Notes to the price list

LCA Development and Verification fees depend on the number of materials, factories and products involved in the project, as well as the number of EPDs required.
GGTI must organise the Verifier to maintain the independence of the Verifier and ensure compliance with GGTI's General Program Instructions (GPI). For EPDs not developed by GGTI, GGTI is not involved in the data collection phase.

The five-year cycle

One 5-year cycle, predictable annual billing

Whichever pathway you choose, the one-off Joining or Generation fee is paid once at the start of a 5-year validity period, and the annual membership is invoiced each year of it. At the end of the period the EPD is recertified and the cycle begins again. Hosting Existing EPDs carries no one-off fee, and the LCA Development pathway sits outside the cycle entirely.

Recertification invoice · 10 months before expiryRecertification re-runs the relevant one-off fee for your pathway. Issuing it ten months out leaves time for review or re-evaluation before the current period ends.
