Phase 3 puts every LCA calculation and EPD claim through an independent third-party verifier and an internal Program Operator review — then publishes the verified, ISO 14025-conformant declaration to globalgreentag.com and the ECO Platform.
Verification & Publication of the EPD
Under ISO 14025, a draft EPD becomes a published declaration only after it is verified by Global GreenTag. An external third-party verifier checks the technical content, confirms the contents conform to the PCR, verifies LCA methodology compliance, and signs the ISO 14025 verification statement; an internal Program Operator review confirms verifier competence and scheme compliance, then publishes the verified EPD on globalgreentag.com and registers it on the ECO Platform.

External Review
The appointed verifier works through the GGT verification checklist against ISO 14025 and EN 15804. Any queries or non-conformance findings are returned to the applicant for corrective action.

Both reviewers work from the same submission package but examine different angles. Together their sign-off produces the verified EPD and the formal verification statement.

A Verifier Must Reach the 5-Point Threshold
External verifiers are scored across three mandatory metrics. A verifier needs at least five combined points before GGT can assign them to a project.
Verification & Audit Practice
Years of review work in the environmental field plus number of ISO 14025-compliant verifications or LCI dataset reviews completed.
LCA Methodology & Practice
Years of LCA work plus volume of LCI datasets developed or modelled, counted from a Master's-thesis baseline.
Technology / LCI Sector Experience
Years of professional production, R&D or environmental work in the private sector relevant to the LCI under review.
Combined threshold across the three mandatory metrics. Optional credentials (PhD-level qualifications, peer-reviewed papers, accredited reviewer status, training delivered) lift the score above this threshold but cannot replace the mandatory three.
Three Rules Keep the Verifier Independent
External Organisation
The verifier sits outside the manufacturer's organisation, and may not share an employer with the LCA practitioner.
Fixed-Fee, Paid in Advance
Verifier fees are agreed at a fixed amount and settled before the work begins, removing economic pressure on the outcome.
No Operator Influence
The Program Operator does not alter verification findings in favour of the manufacturer. Disputes go through defined arbitration.
